Hi, I'm Shivam Mishra, founder of Thakur G.

I was born and brought up in Mumbai in a simple Brahmin family. Like many people, I spent more than 10 years working in top corporate companies. I learned about business, finance, systems, and how to build things the right way.

But deep inside, I always felt connected to our roots.

As a child, I loved spending time with animals, especially cows. One of my favourite memories is watching my grandmother make ghee at home. She would slowly prepare it with patience, and the whole house would fill with a beautiful aroma. That wasn't just ghee—it was love, tradition, and care. Those memories stayed with me for life.

Years later, while working in the corporate world, I started looking for genuine Desi Cow Ghee for my own family. I was surprised to see that most people knew about Gir cows, but very few had even heard the names of many other native Indian breeds.

Then I started travelling.

I met small dairy farmers in different states who wake up before sunrise every day to take care of their indigenous cows. Many of them are protecting rare native breeds with very little support. They make pure Bilona Ghee using traditional methods, but most of them don't have a way to reach customers across India.

That touched my heart.

I realised that India has so many beautiful native cow breeds, but their stories are slowly disappearing.

That's when Thakur G was born.

Our dream is simple.

We want to build India's first platform where people can discover and buy authentic Desi Cow Ghee from every native breed, all in one place. Not just 4 or 5 breeds—but more than 50 indigenous cow breeds from different states of India.

Every jar on our website is more than a product.

It carries the hard work of a farmer, the identity of a native breed, and the tradition of a region.
